Peace in Perception
I’m sure that we all have experienced a time in our lives where we thought something appearing to be negative happening to us was much worse than it actually later turned out to be. It is very likely that we were overreacting to whatever it is that is happening, rather than remaining aware of the situation and finding the best solution to it within the present moment. This is a key indicator on how our awareness plays a major role in the way we perceive things, and how we can learn to better connect our intentions with our perceptions.
When we constantly perceive negative events and situations in our lives as “bad” this is solely due to our perception and what we are allowing our awareness to tune into. When we perceive something to be bad or negative, it is likely because we are having fears or expectations of certain outcomes that may play out. We get caught up in the thoughts of what might happen or should’ve happened instead of observing what is really happening in the present moment.
Don’t listen to those negative thought patterns though!
Through observing this, we must then learn to approach these things with a broader perspective than we have been conditioned to view them with. It is up to us to then be able to change our perception of these events, by simply becoming aware of what is really being presented to us, and how we can find a solution to the problem at hand. If we take a deeper look into these things, there is usually a silver lining or hidden opportunity for us to spark growth from within and overcome the obstacles without being affected in such a negative light.
In this way we can begin to release our expectations of what happens to us and learn to remain centered within these stressful experiences. Which in turn leads us forward on our paths into having more positive experiences! By doing this we find that true peace comes as a state of being, rather than something we must look for outside of ourselves to obtain, and we learn to maintain the clarity that elevates our awareness to better navigate our life’s path. By freeing our grip and control on what happens to us, we also learn to become more Grateful for these experiences as they teach us how to cultivate qualities of compassion, empathy, and patience.
This simple shift of perception can make the biggest differences when we apply it into our lives, so don’t always assume the first thing that you think always. See the reality for what it really is, and not just what you are believing it to be. We can find much more peace within ourselves by letting go of these expectations and limiting beliefs.
High Vibes and Our Gratitude for tuning in!
